It has coarse and fine focusing; the viewing head rotates 360 degrees; It is supplied with precision achromatic DIN objective lenses offering 40, 100 and 400X total magnification. Parfocal, parcentered, with a retractable 40X objective (40XR).
It has a fluorescent illuminator rather than tungsten. The fluorescent illuminator runs cool, delivers bright, white light and the bulb lasts longer. Also, replacement bulbs are inexpensive.
Built in 0.65NA condenser lens, in stage with a 5 hole disc diaphragm.
